A Brief Bio
Hailing From
Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, Khan’s style blends Indian music with electronic beats and global flavors. His family moved to San Jose CA when he was highschooler.
There he met Ustad Habib Khan, his mentor also a distant relative and later he met his future life time collaborator and musical artist, Fontain Riddle (fontainsmuse.org) while attending Silicon Valley Music Recoding Engineering at Cogswell Poly.
Mentors and Education
Farhan Khan is a graduating student of the world renowned Ustad Habib Khan.
Habib Khan is a Classical and progressive sitar virtuoso of the highest level, he was born into a family of musicians and can trace his lineage back several generations to when classical music enjoyed the patronage of the nobility and royalty of India.
Farhan Khan is also a graduate of Musicians Institute in Hollywood CA where benefited famous guest lectures Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Scott Henderson, and many other Hollywood guest lectures dropping by this exciting, well known Music School.
Later Farhan pursued Music Recording Engineering curriculum at Cogswell Poly in Sunnyvale CA.

Farhan Khan and Fontain Riddle are credited for their song "Eastern Breeze".

Farhan's haunting sitar instrumental cover of the Eagles,
"Hotel California" is featured on Putumayo Records compilation for 2025.
MINISTRY
The well known 80s band Ministry released their 15th album Moral Hygiene featuring Farhan Khan's sitar playing on the track "Broken System".
